Thank you for purchasing GunLox, the advanced firearm safety device that uses facial recognition technology to provide secure access to your firearms. Please read through this instruction set carefully to ensure proper setup and usage of your GunLox device.

Safety Precautions

Read Instructions: Before using GunLox, read all instructions and safety

Proper Installation: Ensure GunLox is securely installed on your firearm.

Keep Dry: Do not expose the device to water or moisture.

Battery Care: Use only the provided charging cable to charge GunLox.
Getting Started
1. Charging GunLox
●
Connect the charging cable to the device.
●
Plug the other end into a USB power source.
●
Charge until the indicator light turns green.
●
The indicator light will blink red when battery is below 20%
2. Downloading GunLox App
●
Search for “GunLox” on the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
●
Download and install the app on your mobile device.
3. Creating an Account
●
Open GunLox app.
●
Follow the on-screen instructions to create a new account. Make sure to allow bluetooth connection, Face ID for security, and Location services for State Law updates.
4. Pairing GunLox with Your Mobile Device
●
Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
●
Open the GunLox app and log in.
Select “Add Device” and follow the prompts to pair GunLox with your mobile device.
The lock is designed to go into sleep mode to prolong battery life. To wake the lock press the small button beside the charging port to wake the lock.
5. Setting Up Facial Recognition

GunLox utilizes your mobile devices Face ID
●
In GunLox app, select ALLOW Face ID and in settings
6. Mounting GunLox
●
Use the provided accessories to attach accessories to the lock and then secure GunLox to your firearm.
●
Ensure the device is securely fastened and locked by pulling on the lock to check proper locking
Using GunLox
Locking Your Firearm
●
Open GunLox app.
●
Select “Lock” to engage the GunLox device. This tracks the “Locking” in the events tab but does not automatically lock the lock. Push up firmly to make sure the lock is all the way engaged.
Unlocking Your Firearm
●
Open GunLox app.
●
Push the small pairing button on the bottom of the lock to wake the lock.
●
Select which firearm you would like to unlock. It will say “In Range”
●
Select “Unlock” and use facial recognition to unlock the device.
Additional Features
●
Event Tracking: See each time the lock is unlocked and by whom.
●
Quick Unlock Widget: Set lock to emergency and add GunLox widget to home screen. When you wake a lock that is set to emergency it appears in the GunLox widget.
●
Shared Authorization: Click Lock details, then select share authorization. The other user must have an account and the GunLox app to receive authorization.

GunLox comes with a lifetime limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, misuse, or unauthorized modifications.

Troubleshooting
●
Device Not Charging: Ensure the charging cable is properly connected and the power source is functioning.
●
Pairing Issues: Restart your mobile device and ensure Bluetooth is enabled. Check phone settings to ensure you gave GunLox app access to utilize bluetooth. Follow the pairing instructions again.
●
Facial Recognition Not Working: Ensure the camera has a clear view of your face and there is adequate lighting. Check mobile phone settings under security.
